Recently, I was supposed to head to Higuma Donuts for tea, but it was closed. In the end, my friend, Zynnthea, recommended CHAVATY, which is a cafe in nearby in Omotesando.
I reached there a little earlier, and took some photos of the cafe’s exterior. It was really simple, and not too loud.
Managed to find my way even though I walked from Harajuku. This cafe is nearer toward Omotesando station, for your information.
I went there around 5pm, and it wasn’t that crowded. I waited till Zynnthea came, and managed to get a seat after a few minutes.
Their menu is really pretty with the simple illustrations in it.
Not much variety, but it is indeed simplicity at its best.
I ordered the tea set which comes with a tea of your choice, and two scones with salted whipped cream and honey fruit jam. Zynnthea ordered the hot houjicha latte.
While waiting for the food and drinks to be served, here are a few pictures on the interior of the cafe!
Isn’t this cafe pretty and very minimalist? I find it really relaxing here.
Among the jams (salted whipped cream & honey nut fruit jam), I could only take the whipped cream as I am allergic toward oats. I filled my scone with loads of salted whipped cream, and it was delicious!
The Uva lemon tea was really refreshing, and though many recommended the houjicha latte, which Zynnthea had, I kind of like the lemon tea.
Another recommended item was their soft serve, which you can get it via takeaway. Heard many good reviews about it, but I didn’t order it because it was close to dinner time.
There was a small corner with their merchandise, and it was really simple and sweet.
They also do sell the bottles they use to store the iced teas.
If you’re looking for a cafe to chill, and have nice scones and tea, or maybe have an ice-cream/tea latte on the go, then this is the place.
