Alas, I finally found some time to update my 2nd Day in Tokyo in 2015!
Not much about this day as I went to Tokyo Disney Sea with my colleague at work and his family!
Woke up as early as I could that morning because I went back to the hotel late the night before, and I was meeting my colleague and his family at around 8am if I am not wrong.
Here’s my coordinate for that day.
Coat: Lowrys Farm | Dress (One-Piece): Lowrys Farm Japan Label (Love Love!)| Stockings: Atsugi (good for winter use)| Shoes: New Balance (LE from Japan)| Bag: Micheal Korrs| Scarf: Lowrys Farm
Didn’t use any curls on my hair as it was already curled last night at the salon.
Was a little bad, but thankfully my colleague and his family were abit later as his kids were tired from the flight. Waited for sometime inside the station, and finally met them at the Ikebukuro Metro station. I guess it was hard for them to find as it was their first time in Japan, and I only gave them instructions through LINE. Kudos to them!
Reached Maihama station at around 10 plus, and guess what? I forget to bring my ticket with me, and thankfully the staff there were nice to help me print another copy out (by right, it is not allowed, and they have the right to reject you). First, we headed off to get the fast pass for the main attraction ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’, and then we head off to ‘Mermaid Lagoon’ and took the roller coaster as a starter. The queue was pretty long, and it can get quite boring while queuing so be prepared to bring some things to keep yourself entertained. After that, we head off to ‘Lost River Delta’ in hopes of getting a fast pass for the ‘Indiana Jones® Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull’, but then the fast pass were all out, so we decided to queue up for this attraction, and we queued up for nearly 2 hours before getting on to the ride. Didn’t sat on this ride the last time I went because everyone in my group were too tired to do so.
After that, if I remember correctly, we head off to somewhere for lunch which I really cannot remember or perhaps it was before the Indiana Jones attraction. On the way, I managed to take some selfie of myself because I was abit paiseh infront of the kids as it was my first time meeting them, and I don’t want to be seen as an aunty who is very loud.
After that, we head back to ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’ and when we were about to ride on the attraction, the whole attraction decided to die down on us, and my colleague’s daughter was really upset by it. She kept mentioning how much she wanted to get on the ride, but it was really a pity, and the ride didn’t get back up even after we left the theme park. Ended up, we got 5 fast passes, which my colleague, his wife and me decided to give to the kids, because I guess I’m too old to ‘chiong’ for all these rides. So the kids and my colleague’s wife went for the ‘Raging Spirits’, which is a roller coaster that turns 360° (the wife has to accompany the kids), while me and my colleague decided to get some churros to chill while waiting for them.
After that, our last stop was the ‘Tower of Terror’, which I love it so much that I always make myself to go on to this attraction when it turns dark because when the door opens as the attraction is at the top of the tower, the view (you will get to see it for like a second or two before the ride goes on a free fall session) is really pretty with all the light up, and it is really breath-taking.
You will understand what I mean when you watch this video! Another thing about this ride is that I kept wondering how the green ‘golem’ thingy disappears, and till now, it is one thing that I still cannot comprehend.
Anyway, after the ride, the kids wanted to go for one more round, so they used their extra fast pass ticket and went on the second round, while the three of us decided to wait for them outside.
Waited for quite some time before they came out as there were alot of people.
If I remember correctly, this photo was taken at like around 4 or 5pm, which is pretty early. After that, we head off to do some shopping before heading back to Shinjuku for dinner that day..
Will be heading back to Disney Sea for my upcoming trip, and I can’t wait to try on the ‘Fortress Explorations’, which I have been eyeing on because if I were to go, I have to make sure my bunch of friends need to understand Japanese, if not I will have a hard time interpreting for them.
Headed back to Shinjuku area, and we had dinner at this restaurant ‘鍋ぞう ‘(Nabezo), which was recommended by a few colleagues on mine for their buffet steamboat, and my colleague and his family really like it alot!
You can find 鍋ぞう almost everywhere especially in Tokyo, and their buffet with free flow of meat is absolutely awesome if you are a meat lover. Sadly, I’m a tang hoon and vegetable lover. Hahaha! You can view their website (and yes they have the english website up too if you are having difficulties reading Japanese) in the link below.
That sums my second day in Tokyo, and I hope that this post has been ‘interesting’.
