Recently, I decided to start running and eat healthy. There’s alot of reasons for me wanting to do so. I have tried alot of methods to slim down but I always fail in them because I always lose my determination very quickly. I set them quickly and always lose them quickly.
But this time, I had a goal in mind. I can no longer remain like this anymore. No doubt the sessions at Slim Couture works, but having no carbohydrates, and the need to eat cherry tomatoes (which I’m getting sick of) every time I feel the hunger is quite tough on me. I did lose a few kilograms while on Slim Couture’s program, and my weight didn’t rebound despite eating carbohydrates for quite some time. But then, even though the weight comes back, the shape is still there, hence I’m really thankful that I went on for this program despite it being pricey (Mine was $200 a session, and you will need to make a down payment on the number of sessions you want to take, depending on how many kilos you want to lose).
So, now I decided to start running, take fitness classes at Fitness First. Was a member previously, but didn’t take things seriously, so my membership was like hanging in the air. But recently, I make the effort to run at least 3 times a week even though le bf told me to run daily, which I’m thinking to do so but can’t do it now, because I miraculously fell down on Monday while wearing my office skirt, which led to a sprain on my right ankle. Got to rest for a few more days before I can start brisk walking and then slow jogging for at least 30 minutes. Probably I over exerted myself on Saturday evening after work at the gym. Not only did I ran for 30 minutes on the treadmill, I also went to do the step machine which literally killed my thigh muscles. And then off I went to the cycling side and cycled for another 10 mins before calling it a day.
Anyway, back to the main topic. So yes, I’m currently on a new regime on slow jogging, and eating healthy food. Will be posting some of my so-called “healthy” recipes which I made them on my own (of course with the help of my maid) while referring to the online recipes.
Here’s the first one today!
This is actually a quinoa salad with boiled prawns, cherry tomatoes, corn, green peppers, boiled egg, loin fish fillet and edamame. I added 1.5 tea spoon of Vietnam’s fish sauce in it (not to this box, but 1 big bowl of it), added some parsley and pepper to allow it to taste better! Will be posting this on my instagram soon! So do check it out!!!
As for the running, I am most likely to resume it next week, and after reading through a few articles on getting slimmer calves and thighs without constructing muscles, I came up with a few ideas.
1) Jog at a slow speed but with longer timing of at least 30 mins
2) Use elliptical trainers but with low intensity
3) Walk with the back of your heels instead of tip-toeing (I have a bad tendency of tip-toeing)
4) Do stretches to stretch the muscles at the back of your thigh and calve muscle
Am not sure if the above would work, but then I’m giving it a try. I have read many books, magazines, watched youtube videos and of course videos on Facebook, I guess I’ll give myself a 3 month window period to slim down as much as I can in a healthy method, and then buy all the wonderful clothes I can in Japan!
Wish me luck, and I will post my before and after pictures (by end December) if this new regime and healthy eating plan works!
