Managed to head down to Kki sweets to try their sweets, and also, they have shifted over to SOTA (School of the Arts), which is located conveniently at Dhoby Ghaut.
I went there right after my Korean lessons to meet up with Zynthia. I reached there around 1pm, and there weren’t much crowd. I was glad that the crowd only came in around 3 to 4 plus, where people started strolling in to get some high-tea fix. For me, I went for my lunch-fix. I have also heard that there are times where the cakes would get sold out, so being the true blue kiasu Singaporean, I went to have cakes for lunch!
Once you’re inside SOTA, you can find this cozy shop right inside.
Inside looks really nice, and the ambience is pretty good. Makes you feel like you’re really home. Plus the songs played in the cafe were very soothing~ As compared to other cafes, I like this cafe alot. First, it is spacious, and then second, the lighting makes the whole ambience really soothing that you can relax in it.
Guess what is this??
This is actually their menu for their drinks!!! Cute right? Plus, it has this placard feel to it~ And each words seems to be engraved on to it. Makes you feel like you’re in a forest~
For their drinks, I tried the Sencha, and it is albeit sweet and bitter to the end. But still, I like this type of Sencha. Moreover, taking tea with cakes is pretty cool! Most cafes in Singapore always go with coffee, but I’m more of a tea person (if they do sell tea over there), and the combination of tea goes pretty well with cakes.
Their cakes selection were interesting too!
I only tried Mt. Kinabalu (passion fruit with coconut), and the taste is awesome!! Their cake is super soft that it melts in your mouth! Plus, the passion fruit taste is refreshing. I couldn’t taste the coconut. Probably the passion fruit covered up the coconut taste. I saw two ladies trying the LRRH (Little Red Riding Hood), and they said it was sweet. As for Zynthia, she was in time for her Mont Blanc as she came abit later. I didn’t get to try her Mont Blanc as I was full from drinking too much tea.
My lunch for that day~ Luckily I had Noragami with me to kill some time while waiting for Zynthia to come~
I think I spent about 2 hours plus in the cafe eating this super tasty cake and drinking my fragrant tea~
If you’re also wanting to head down to kki sweets, do go and try their cakes!
Here’s their location!
