Had the chance to attend Mizuki Nana’s concert in Kagoshima, and to be honest, it was a dream come true. I’ve been wanting to go for those anisong concert, but till date, I have only attend Arashi’s concert thrice. I wasn’t too sure how a anisong concert would be like, so before attending Mizuki Nana’s concert, I went to do some research such as viewing her previous concert DVDs to get myself prepared.
On that day, I woke up a little later as I was tired from walking in Kirishima and Sakurajima, and the concert goods sale only start at 1pm, so I took the luxury of getting a late breakfast at the hotel, and then visit Shiroyama again in the day.
I was surprised to see fans wearing her concert t-shirt, walking in Kagoshima station, and heading off to the concert venue as early as 9.30a.m. Early right?! I was surprised. But thankfully, this wasn’t Arashi concert, so I took my time to head to Shiroyama before heading to the concert venue.
This was what I wore to the concert!
I think I don’t look otaku enough that day.
When I went over at around 1pm, the queue was long, and I almost died dying under the sun. The temperature was as hot as 38 degrees, and my cold bottled isotonic drink became hot within 15 mins.
At least the queue was so much better than Arashi’s one. I managed to get inside the hall within an hour or so. If it was Arashi’s concert, I think I would need at least 4 hours or more.
The concert goods that they were selling!! Super cute!! I managed to get 2 pony hair ties, 1 tablet casing, 1 black concert t-shirt, one earphone jack set and 1 face towel. It was really expensive, but I think most of them are essentials to show that you have been to her concert!!!
After buying my goods, there was still some time to the concert, so I head over to Tenjin to grab some ‘Shirokuma’ ice-cream, but gave up in the end, coz the queue was long and by the time it was my turn, I would have missed the concert, so I went for McDonalds instead.
Head back to concert venue, and went inside the toilet to get changed into the black concert t-shirt. Was totally looking forward to the concert.
Here’s a picture of the concert hall.
Looks like Esplanade right? Apparently, you can stand throughout the whole concert coz everyone does so despite being a concert hall.
And then a few minutes later, this guy came settle his stuff, and then took ‘something’ out from his bag, and wore it!!!! I was so curious that I started to look at what he is doing, and then I was so shocked on what he wore. This is what he wore!
Indeed a true blue fan of Mizuki Nana!!! This guy was so nice that he let me took a picture of his back wearing this jacket!!! It was really nice.
Well, on the other hand, something bad did happen before the concert. As there was a large number of auction sites selling tickets, Mizuki Nana’s management decide to do some countermeasures such as checking the auction sites as to which seats are being sold. I only know about this when someone behind my row was being asked to leave the concert as she/he was not able to prove that she/he was the one who bought the concert ticket. As mine was also a auction ticket, I was really terrified of being asked to leave, coz I really want to enjoy. Thankfully I was being spared!!!
I can’t really remember what songs Mizuki Nana sang, coz I can only remember her old songs, and then the latest two songs. But I was feeling very excited with the fans. Then during the song ‘Eternal Blaze’, almost everyone was holding a orange light stick, while I was holding the concert pen light which is in blue, the guy who wore the awesome coat passed me 4 orange light stick, so I took 1 and passed the other 3 to the guy on my left coz he didn’t had any light stick. That guy was really kind to lend us his orange light stick, and he brought like 2 big packs of pen light for the concert.
During the song ‘Preserved Roses’, Mizuki Nana sang her part while for TM’s part, the audience sang along!!!! It was really fun!!
Also, there were people cosplaying as Mizuki Nana.
I took a ‘secret’ shot of this girl cosplaying as Mizuki Nana!!
At the end of the whole concert, everyone especially the fans did a thank you to other fans for spending their time with Mizuki Nana, and then did some rounding up cheers too. This type of stuff is pretty rare in Johnny’s concert, and I felt really happy to be able to experience this. Usually, in Johnny’s concert, after the whole thing ended, the fans would rush off to wait for the idols or to catch the train back, but this was pretty different. I really enjoyed myself, and also thanked the fans for their hard work.
So, after reading my post on Mizuki Nana’s concert, are you tempted to attend one as well? If you’re really interested in attending one, my advise to you is not to buy from auction sites as the management is keeping a close tab, so try to get it from Pia Ticket, coz it’s better than getting caught and being asked to leave the concert.
Anyway, hope that you all like this Mizuki Nana concert post!!!
Will be blogging about Natsu Matsuri later, and then my Japan Summer 2013 travelogue!!!
